It's been a long day.
A glorious sunrise gave way to morning fog and rain.
Noon broke the clouds and cleared the sky.
The sun still shines bright but the shadows are getting long.
Twilight approaches and the night not long after.
Memories of the day will linger through the evening,
But a new day will dawn and yesterday will be gone.
The childrens children will remember fondly the silly old man with the huge mustache.
Their progeny may see faded photos of someone they really can't place.
The wind and the tide will erase all traces of footprints in the sand or any evidence of my passage.
So,I will live today in today, for tomorrow I shall be forgotten.
