It's the same feeling
The smells aren't as sharp as before
The sights lack the clarity.
But the feeling is the same.
Midnight moon, ocean breeze,rumbling surf.
Fishing boats bob on the swells as they shine for squid.
The curve of the coastline is still outlined in diamonds.
Men and boys dressed in sweats and jackets talk excitedly as they try their luck as night fishermen.
Lovers still cling to each other cooing as they stroll along the pier.
The feeling is still the same
The beauty and serenity is still the same
So is the dull ache in the heart
A moment unshared

I've just read this through about five times. You've captured something special.
